Leela beach is a beautiful beach located in Haad RIn, the main party town on Koh Phangan Island. The beach now sports a resorts so it's not as peaceful as it once used to be. However if you are able to visit the island during off-peak season, then you'll have a fairly good atmosphere in which to enjoy the waters. At any rate, the beach, like a lot of Thailand's beaches down south, is a pretty site. 

 Bentota beach is a nice relaxed beach on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka. Not many waves, but it's a nice calm part of the sea. A few hotels back on to it, so you may find a few couples and families along the beach. When I visited last it wasn't peak season so the beach was relatively quiet the whole time. 

 Balmoral is a quiet beach nearing towards the city side of Sydney. A few cafe's and such, it's nice to have a walk along the pathway which traces the beach.
